QGDP OVERVIEW
Who is the QGDP for?
Any
Qatari diploma or degree holder and High school
graduate>
What's the Purpose of the QGDP?
To develop the necessary competencies, skills and knowledge
you need to undertake a professional job function in one of
Qtel's business areas.
In what occupational (job) areas can I undertake a
development program?Telecoms/electronics engineering, Systems operator,
Application programming, IT, Network technologies, sales,
marketing, Customer Services, legal, HR and others
How is the QGDP structured?
In modular format, with clearly set; timelines, performance
expectations, continuous support, monitoring and feedback.
Modules cover; job induction, basic knowledge, work on real
job assignments, behavioral training, and intensive
functional / technical training.
How long does the QGDP last?<
This varies between 12-24 months and also on how quick you
acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.
What happens once I've completed the QGDP?
If you complete the program successfully (which most DO) you
will be confirmed in your target position (the job you have
been developed for)
What support can I expect whilst undertaking QGDP?
Our Human Resource department has a whole section (Career
Development and Planning) dedicated to support and work with
you from the day you arrive at Qtel. They will help in
designing your career development program, explain what is
expected of you, give individual coaching and monitor your
progress.
Does development stop once I complete the QGDP?
No to the contrary the QGDP is just the beginning. Qtel is
knowledge based business and prides its self as a learning
organization; as such you too will be expected to develop
new skills as well maintaining present ones.
