Welcome to Qtel’s Online Number SERVICE. This User Agreement (the AGREEMENT) provides additional terms and conditions related to Qtel Online Number SERVICE,  this AGREEMENT is part of Qtel Portal General Terms and Services policy which users have to read and accept before using Qtel’s online portal. 

Online Number SERVICE (the SERVICE) is a place where Customers can view Qtel’s mobile numbers for the purpose of reservation and Auctioning through Qtel’s online portal. The SERVICE allows the users to check the availability of certain Numbers which users can reserve immediately unless otherwise stated. In cases where a Number is an Auction only Number the user will need to bid for it and at the end of the Auction period the highest bidder will earn the right to use the Number as per this policy.

In no event will Qtel be liable to the Customer for any damage that might occur from using its Number Online SERVICE.


Search for Numbers
 

  •     The Numbers can be searched based on the exact digits of the Number or through browsing all the Numbers under a certain range (Range: Represents the first 3 digits of a Number, e.g. 555).
  •     Numbers reserved by other users will not appear in Numbers search results.
  •     Numbers shown will NOT include free Numbers, only Numbers with “Reserve Now” price, and Numbers offered through Qtel Online Number Auction (Qtel AUCTION) will be displayed.
  •     Only the Numbers that Qtel decides to offer for provisioning will be available in the Numbers list. Qtel reserves the right to decide which Numbers to be offered for provisioning and which Numbers not to. As long as the Numbers are not reserved by any User, Qtel can change the set of Number offered  through the SERVICE at any time and without any prior notice


Reserve Numbers
 

  •    A Customer can reserve any Number of choice as long as the Number is on the list and has the “Reserve Now” option
  •    Numbers marked as “On Auction” cannot be reserved except through winning the Auction as the highest bidder.
  •    By reserving the Numbers, the Customer confirms that they will complete the purchase transaction and pay the full amount of the Number within 24 hours from the reservation time.
  • To buy the reserved Numbers, the Customer can do either of the following:
       1. Visit any Qtel store and complete the purchase transaction via the Customer SERVICE agents.
       2. Visit the Qtel eShop (www.qtel.qa/eshop), complete the online form, make full payment and complete any information that may be required at the time of delivery.
  •    In case the Customer fails to complete the purchase transaction on time, the reserved Number will be released and displayed on the available Numbers list.
  •    Only one Number can be reserved to a QID Number at any given time.
  •    The Customer can make a new reservation after 24 hours from the previous reservation if the purchase transaction was not completed. In case the purchase transaction has been completed the Number purchasing rules will apply.
  •    Customers are only allowed to purchase one ETR Number per month.


Numbers Auction
 

  •     Some of the Numbers offered through the SERVICE will be flagged as Auction Numbers. Qtel reserves the right to decide which Numbers are to be released for Auctioning and when.
  •    Customers can bid on Auction Numbers by specifying their bid amount and clicking on the “Bid” button. Qtel will define the minimum bid amount for each Number and this amount will be clearly displayed along with the Auction Number.
  •     To bid on a Number the Customer needs to raise the bid in an amount equal to or in increments of the minimum bid amount.      
  •     By bidding on Auction Numbers, the Customer confirms that they will complete the purchase transaction at any of the Qtel stores within 3 days from the time the winner was announced.
  •     Upon completing a transaction using the Qtel Online Number SERVICE,   the Customer will be presented with a confirmation screen verifying the transaction details prompting if the Customer wishes to process.  It is the Customer’s responsibility to verify that the transaction details are correct.  The Customer should print the transaction confirmation for future reference. Qtel shall have no liability whatsoever for transaction which are incorrect as a result of inaccurate data entry in the course of providing Online SERVICE or for loss of data or information caused by any factor whatsoever. In no event will Qtel be liable to the Customer for any damage that might occur from using its Number Online SERVICE.
  •     Failing to complete the purchase transaction on time will be considered as SERVICE abuse. As a result all bids on that Number will be cleared and the Number will be released for Auctioning on a later date.
  •     In cases of SERVICE abuse, the Customer’s QID/account will be flagged and not allowed to participate in future Qtel Auctions.
  •     If a QID/Account is blocked due to SERVICE abuse the Customer will need to contact the Qtel Digital Unit Manager in the Qtel Westbay Tower.
  •    Customers can bid on more than one Auction Number at a time
  •    Customers are allowed to buy any Number of Auction Numbers as long as they win the bid.


This Agreement is effective on June 15, 2011, for current users, and upon acceptance for new users.
