PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. BY REGISTERING FOR THATI, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPTED THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

When you use eQtel, you accept these terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time. You also agree that you will not use eQtel for any purpose that is not authorized by these terms and conditions. You may not interfere with any other party's use of the Service. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service through any means.

Furthermore, all terms and conditions previously agreed to by you relating to Qtel Wire line and Wireless Services remain in full force and effect. These terms and conditions include, but are not limited to, those contained in other notices and/or applicable service agreements.

"Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions of eQtel Service.

"Due Date/Payment Date" is the date reflected on the "Account Information" page by which the Payment of an outstanding amount of a bill will become due.

"Payment" is the settlement of all or part of the current outstanding amount of a Qtel bill.

"Payment instrument" is the Visa card or Master card from which Payments will be debited or charged.

"Payment Instruction" is when you submit your payment request to Qtel by entering the amount you wish to pay and your credit card details.

"Payment Method" is the method by which your bills are paid either by post, or in person at Qtel Telecom Centers or at most banks, or by telephone banking, or through bank ATMs, or by direct debit, or by credit card or by on line Payment through eQtel.

Qtel Services: means all the wire line and wireless services offered by Qtel such as GSM service, Internet service, ADSL service etc ?.

Qtel Standard Terms and Conditions: are the Terms and Conditions provided for Qtel Services.

"Service" means eQtel Service offered by Qtel.

"eQtel" means Qtel Web service.

"Value Added Services": means the optional services provided by Qtel in addition to the basic services such as "CLIP", call forwarding, call barring etc?

"We," "us," and "our" refer to the Service or Qtel

"You" and "your" refers to anyone using the Service.

This Service can be used:

  • To view your issued bills, your unbilled usage of any of Qtel Services, your previous bills for up to six months.
  • To pay your issued bills.
  • To view information about the status of your Qtel Services and Value Added Services with a faculty to change or suspend them.
  • To apply for Qtel Services and Value Added Services.

    You agree that we may provide you with information about the Service solely by electronic communication. Such information includes any notice, communication, amendment or replacement to the Agreement, and/or disclosure required to be provided orally or in writing to you. You are deemed to have received any electronic communication provided to you when it is made available to you.

    You may apply for Qtel Services on line. However your subscription shall not be final unless you sign the Qtel Standard Terms and Conditions of the relevant service. This will be carried out as follows:

  • For GSM services:You shall be required to agree to and sign the Standard Terms and Conditions at a Qtel shop when collecting your sim card.
  • For Wireline services:You shall be required to agree to and sign the Standard Terms and Condition submitted to you by the technician who will visit your premises to connect the line.
    The foregoing does not apply to the Value Added Services to which you may subscribe on line.

    Thati allows you to view the status of all of your Qtel Services and Value Added Services with a faculty to change them or to suspend them. Please note that it might take several days for new services to be displayed after an order has been placed.

    eQtel allows you to view your bills and your unbilled usage of Qtel Services electronically and this in addition to your receiving your paper bills through your current method of Qtel bills delivery.

    You may choose to cancel your current method of bills delivery and elect to view your bills online only using View Bill web page. If you choose to do so you are expressly notified that you will no longer receive paper bills delivery and that your bills will only be available on the View Bill web page. Qtel is responsible for ensuring that your billing information is available on View Bill web page, however it is your responsibility to check View My Bill on your billing date and thereafter and to ensure that all bills are discharged within the time limits allowed by Qtel's Standard Terms and Conditions. Qtel expressly disclaims insofar as is legally possible responsibility for any loss or damage arising out of the delay in placing the billing information on View Bill Web Page. Qtel and the Customer agree that Qtel shall not be held liable for any inconvenience, loss or damage that may result from any such delay. Customers may elect to change between the paper bills delivery and online bills once per month and any change shall be effective from the next billing cycle. Qtel reserves the right to terminate the viewing bill functionality without notice, explanation or compensation and to fully reinstate the bill delivery to the Customer via normal paper billing.

    This functionality should not be used by you if you are currently using Direct Debit Payment Method unless you first contact your bank and request to cancel the Direct Debit Payment Method and switch to another Payment Method. Qtel shall not be held responsible for duplicated payments resulting from the improper use of this functionality in conjunction with the Direct Debit Payment Method, nor it will be held liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages, arising in consequence thereof . In this case, your exclusive remedy shall be limited to your request that the duplicated payment be credited to your account in subsequent bills.

    When initiating a Payment, you authorize Qtel to remit funds on your behalf from your Payment Instrument in accordance with your Payment Instructions.

    You may choose to schedule your bill Payment by paying each time a part of your current outstanding balance provided that each Payment may not be less than QR 50. However, by doing so you should ensure that the total amount of your current outstanding balance shall be paid by the Due Date at the latest; otherwise you shall be considered in breach of Qtel Standard Terms and Conditions and shall incur the consequences thereof.

    Payment Instructions can be entered any time during the week days including non business days .

    Your Payment needs 24 hours as from the time of entering the Payment to be processed in Qtel's system .

    Immediately after entering your Payment, eQtel shall inform you of whether your Payment has been successful and is being processed or unsuccessful as it could not be processed. You shall be required in this latter case to contact Qtel Customer Service at 101or send an Email to eQtel@qtel.com.qa Qtel shall not in any case or any way be held responsible for an unsuccessful Payment nor shall it be held liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages in consequence thereof.

    Qtel shall not in any case or any way be held responsible for an unsuccessful Payment or shall be held liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages in consequence thereof.

    Qtel may at any time correct clerical and mathematical errors in the bills and may demand you to pay any difference resulting from such correction. If the difference is in your favor, the resulting amount shall be credited to your account in subsequent bills. Similarly, if for any reason an incorrect amount of money is removed from your Payment Instrument, the resulting amount shall be credited to your account in subsequent bills. The foregoing shall constitute Qtel entire liability and your exclusive remedy. In no event shall Qtel be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages, arising in any way out of your use of eQtel.

    If for any reason the bank has charged back to Qtel the amount of your Payment transaction, Qtel shall have the right after repaying the bank to reverse in your account the amount thereof .

    Your bill Payment shall in addition to these terms and conditions be governed by Qtel Standard Terms and Conditions for each of the services you have subscribed for.

    eQtel will provide bills history through the Service for the last six months. You may request bills history beyond six (6) months in writing or by contacting Qtel Customer Service.

    There is no fee for making Payments using eQtel. However, you shall still be liable for paying all the fees and charges of the Qtel Services and Value Added Services you have subscribed for on line, in accordance with Qtel rates of charges and fees. Furthermore, the fees associated with your Payment Instrument will continue to apply and you shall still be responsible for any and all telephone access fees and/or internet service fees and/or any associated fees.

    You must keep your password or other mean to access your eQtel accounts secure and take steps to prevent unauthorized use of them. You are responsible for all Payments you authorize using the Service. If you permit other persons to use the Service or your password or other means to access your eQtel account, you are responsible for any transactions they authorize, even those transactions that you did not intend or want performed. If you believe that your password or other means to access your account has been lost or stolen or that someone may attempt to use the Service without your consent, you must notify the Service at once by calling Qtel Customer Service at 101.

    Qtel will not be responsible for any loss or damage, arising directly or indirectly from any malfunction or failure of the Service. Also, Qtel will not be responsible for any damage or loss caused by the acts or omissions of its employees except where they have committed an unlawful act.

    You will be liable for and agree to indemnify Qtel against any loss or damage Qtel may suffer because you did not observe your obligations under these Terms and Conditions or acted negligently or fraudulently when using the Service.

    If you have a concern with Thati please access the Contact Us web page and call or send an email at the numbers or details displayed under each category of enquiries. Qtel will try to resolve your query as soon as possible.

    If your complaint concerns a portion of your bill, you must submit your complaint within (30) days of the issuing date of the disputed bill. Qtel will investigate your complaint, and write to you explaining the outcome of its investigation. If Qtel consents to an error existence, Qtel will be responsible for adjusting the bill accordingly and adding the disputed portion of the amount (if paid) to your credit for subsequent billing.

    It should be clearly understood that a complaint over a disputed amount of the bill will not in any case discharge you from paying the outstanding balance in its entirety by the Due Date. Therefore, in order to avoid late payment /nonpayment penalties, customer has to settle the dues on or before the respective due dates. If the reported dispute, after investigation, has been found to be acceptable by Q Tel, the required credit adjustment will appear in the subsequent bills.

    It is our general policy to treat your account information as confidential. However, we will disclose information to third parties about your account or the transactions you make ONLY in the following situations:

  • Where it is necessary for completing transfers and payment transactions;
  • Where it is necessary for activating additional services;
  • In order to comply with a governmental agency or court orders;
  • If you give us your written permission.

    We reserve the right to change eQtel Service and these Terms and Conditions, in our sole discretion from time to time. If you do not agree to any amendments, you may stop using the Service and terminate this Agreement. Any use of the Service after the Service provides you a notice of change will constitute your agreement to such change(s).

    Further, the Service may, from time to time, revise or update the user screens, services, and/or related material, which may render all such prior versions obsolete. Consequently, the Service reserves the right to terminate this Agreement as to all such prior versions of the user screens, services, and/or related material and limit access to only the Service's more recent revisions and updates.

    In the event you wish to discontinue the Service, you can do so by both ceasing to use the Service and by electing to resume paper delivery of your Qtel's bill statements if you have stopped this option.

    Qtel may terminate eQtel Service at any time and/or revoke your right to use this Service for any or no reason. Neither termination nor discontinuation shall affect your liability or obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

    Termination of the Service ceases your electronic Payment services but does not cancel your other subscription services from eQtel.

    If you cease to use the Service and request to resume paper delivery of your Qtel bill statements, Qtel will mail you a paper bill each month, which will be payable according to the Payment Method you wish to adhere to.
