Shahry is our Pay Monthly mobile phone service that frees you from bothering with top-ups and recharges but instead gives you real value for money, as well as the most advanced mobile services.

2. Who can subscribe to Shahry and what are the requirements?

Any resident in Qatar can get Shahry mobile service. For new customers, click here for an Application Form. This tells you the necessary information we need to get you started.

3. What are the Options available for Shahry?

Shahry is available with 3 main Price Plans; Standard Shahry, Shahry Value packs, and Shahry Control.

4. What is the standard Shahry?

The Standard Shahry is our core Pay Monthly plan that comes with all the benefits of paying a bill on a monthly basis, as per your consumption, and at the same time offers a great mobile service.

5. How much will it cost me to be a Standard Shahry customer?

For new customers, you will have to pay:
i. Connection Fee - QR 50
ii. If opting for yearly subscription fee - QR 300 (good for 12 months and no more monthly fees).

6. I have a HALA Pay As You Talk account, can I move to the Standard Shahry or other Shahry price plans? If yes, how much will it cost me?

Yes you can. To migrate is FREE of charge, and all you need to pay is the following:
i. If opting for Yearly: Subscription Fee - QR 300 (good for 12 months no more monthly fees).
ii. If opting for Monthly: Subscription Fee - QR 50 (recurring fee per month).

7. What is a Shahry Value pack?

Shahry Value packs are packaged Pay Monthly plans that are made up of a pre-defined number of inclusive local minutes, SMS/ MMS and Internet data allowances (MB) downloads for which you effectively pay less than standard Shahry rates.

8. What are the available Shahry Value packs?

9. What other services and features does Shahry and Shahry Value packs have (other than Voice calls, SMS/MMS, Mobile Internet, Free International Minutes and Free Incoming Roaming Minutes)?

10. Does the package inclusive apply to International Calls, International SMS/MMS and Video Calls?

| No. It applies to local usage only. However, you can get free international minutes with all Shahry Value Packs. Click here for details.

11. If I exceed my Value pack allowance, what will be the local charges of using Qtel services

12. What are the charges for International services?

13. What will happen if I didn't consume the entire Value pack's inclusive Call minutes and SMS this month?

Unconsumed Call minutes from the package are simply carried over, and will add up to your bundle next month. The rest of the other inclusions in the pack (SMS, MMS, Data download) that are unused, are not carried over, but will be reset instead.

14. What will happen if I reached the limit of my Value pack minutes, in the middle of a call? How will I be charged?

If you reached your limit in the middle of a call, the excess minutes (on the same call) shall be charged using Standard Shahry rates.

15. Can Standard Shahry subscribers or a HALA Pay As You Talk customers move to any Shahry Value Packs?

Yes, they can at anytime.

16. How much will it cost me to be a Shahry Value Pack subscriber?
|
- For new customers, you only have to pay a Connection fee of QR 50 to have a new line with a Shahry Value Pack.
- For standard Shahry customers and HALA Pay as you Talk customers it is absolutely FREE.

17. How do I subscribe/migrate to the Standard Shahry?
|
|
You can come to one of our Shops, or call 111 and talk to a customer service representative who will gladly assist you.
|

18. I am a Standard Shahry subscriber, and I migrated to one of the Shahry Value Pack in the middle of the month, how will I be charged on my bill?
|
|
You can migrate to any Shahry Value Pack at any time. To migrate is Free. For more information and clarification, please call 111 and our agents will be more than happy to assist you with your queries.

19. What will happen to my free minutes if I downgrade or upgrade my Shahry Value Pack? How much will I be charged?
|
|
Upgrading or downgrading packages can be done anytime, but takes effect only in the start of the customer's next bill period. This gives you time to consume your entire bundle. For this, no prorated minutes will be carried over. If not consumed before the start of the next bill period, all the remaining minutes of the old package and the carried over minutes from the previous month (if available) will be lost.

20. If I want to opt out of Shahry Value Packs, how do I do that? And what will happen?

You may also opt out by visiting our Qtel shops, or by calling 111 to talk to one of our agents.

21. I am subscribed to a Shahry Value Pack, how will the calls show on my bill?
|
- Local calls made using (or charged on) the inclusive minutes of the package will reflect on the bill but will be Zero charged. Calls made after consuming all the inclusive minutes, shall reflect on the bill and charged using Standard Shahry rates.
- If you don't see any charged Call details on the bill, it means that you only consumed within your package's inclusive minutes, and not beyond.

22. Do I have to change my SIM Card if I move from Hala to Shahry? How about when I change my plan?

No. It is not necessary to change your SIM Card.
