Hala BlackBerry® Internet Service (BIS) is an on-demand service that lets all Hala customers to stay connected, organized and have fun with rich multimedia applications such as instant messaging, e-mails, phone, maps, organizer, applications, games, the Internet and much more.

Hala BlackBerry offers unique features and benefits:

• Your e-mail message is delivered instantly, automatically and securely via advanced BlackBerry® Push e-mail technology.
• You can connect up to 10 POP3 e-mail accounts such as gmail, Hotmail, MSN.
• Your e-mail is compressed and encrypted so the data usage is optimised and the content is secure.
• BlackBerry Messenger for secure instant messaging service with PIN as additional security.
• BlackBerry devices use flash memory to protect data and applications if the battery runs out.

Activating your Hala BlackBerry Internet Service

1. Make sure your Hala balance is sufficient and your BlackBerry battery is fully charged.
2. Send an SMS to 92550.
3. A 0ne-time activation fee will be deducted from your Hala account balance.
4. You will receive an SMS notification that your service request is being processed.
5. Upon successful activation, you will receive a notification SMS confirming that your service is activated.
6. You will see 3G (or GPRS/EDGE) logo on top right corner of your BlackBerry handset
   
   
    
7. We recommend that you perform device HARD RESET by turning off your BlackBerry, remove and then replace the battery, then restart.
8. Your Hala BlackBerry Internet Service is now active and you are ready to configure your e-mails, connect to your friends by BlackBerry Messenger and many other rich multimedia and social networking applications.

How to setup your POP3 e-mail account from your BlackBerry

1. Make sure your Hala BlackBerry is activated and you are in Qtel network coverage.
2. Press BlackBerry symbol, go to Setup and e-mail Settings
   
     
    
3. Read and agree on the BlackBerry Internet Service Terms & Conditions:
   
   
    
4. Complete the appropriate steps to begin sending and receiving e-mail messages.
   - Add an existing personal or work e-mail address.
   - Create a BlackBerry e-mail Address e.g. name@qtel.Blackberry.com
   
    

How to add your existing POP3 e-mail account on your BlackBerry

1. Press BlackBerry symbol, go to Setup, e-mail Settings and e-mail Setup.
2. Type your User name and Password that you just created on previous steps
   
     
    
3. Select Add My Existing Email Account, complete your POP3 email address that you want to add into your BlackBerry and type your email password.
   
     
    
4. On successful activation, you will get your POP3 e-mail account into your BlackBerry.
5. Your Hala BlackBerry e-mail account e.g. name@qtel.Blackberry.com can be created from this screen.
