1. What is a Collect Call?
- The Collect Call service allows Hala Pay as you talk customers to request that the receiving party (Qtel Mobile customers only) pays for the cost of a call originated by a Hala customer.

2. How to request a Collect Call?
- To request a Collect Call, simply dial * 102 * recipient number #.

3. What happens after sending a request for a Collect Call?
- After placing your request, Qtel will try to contact the requested mobile number. If the receiving party accepts the call, Qtel will call you and you'll be instantly connected once the call is answered.

4. How much do I get charged?

If you accept the Collect Call, you will be charged at the rate of QR 0.55 per minute.

When requesting a Collect Call you will not be charged. All charges are applied to the receiving party.


5. Who can originate a Collect Call?
- Only Hala Pay as you talk customers can originate a Collect Call.

6. Who can receive a Collect Call?
- Any Qtel Mobile customer may receive a Collect Call.

7. Do I have to activate this service?
- No, the service is automatically available to all Hala customers.

8. As receiving party do I have any control over the service?
- As the receiving party, YES, you have full control over the Collect Call service. You can allow users, such as family members to directly request Collect Calls without your approval. You can also block others from directing a Collect Call request to you or even block the service.
- Simply dial * 100 # from your mobile and manage this handy service through a user friendly menu.

9. Can I request a Collect Call while roaming?
- No, the service is only available in Qatar.

10. What happens if the receiving party is roaming?
- If the receiving party is roaming, he/she will receive a Call Me Back message.

11. I'm a Shahry customer. How do I recognize Collect Calls on my bill?
- Every Collect Call will be clearly marked in your bill including call duration and caller's number.

12. What is the minimum credit balance for Hala customer to pay for a Collect Call?
- If you're requesting Collect Call from Hala customer who's remaining credit balance is less than QR4 your request will be automatically transformed to a Call Me Back message for the same customer.

13. Can I request Collect Call when I'm out of credit?
- Yes, you can request Collect Call with or without any credit left in your account. You can also request Collect Call first 30 days after your validity expires (so called Grace period).
