Qtel 3G network opens up the way for you to a whole new set of experiences like Video Telephony and Faster Internet browsing and much more.
3G is shorthand for third generation - a new standard of networks that permits significantly enhanced data speed and a range of new mobile services such as 3G video calling. In addition to the above services, customers with 3G handsets will also have access to all existing Qtel 2G voice / multimedia services.
On most 3G handsets, when you are on our 3G network, you will see the letters "3G" on your phone, or any other special icon depending on your handset type. If you move outside our 3G coverage, this special icon will disappear. Don't worry if this happens - you will be transferred automatically to our normal 2G network so you will still be able to use your phone for traditional voice calls, SMS, MMS, etc.
